There&#8217;s not even Alpha version available yet.<\/p>\n<p>But, because we get questions, we want to keep our readers informed about the progress of Joomla 4.<\/p>\n<p>We recently\u00a0took a first look at Joomla 4, and mentioned that\u00a0our Wright Framework now works on Joomla 4 sites!<\/p>\n<p>In this blog post, we&#8217;ll take a look at the new Media Manager in Joomla 4.<\/p>\n<p>This image gives you an overview of the main Media screen. On this screen, the main change is that the images are given more space. Using the + and &#8211; icons in the top-right corner, you can also adjust the size of the images and icons.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.joomlashack.com\/images\/blog\/joomla-4-media\/media-overview.png\" alt=\"media overview\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Improvement #1: Drag-and-drop image uploading<\/h3>\n<p>Drag-and-drop image uploading is available throughout Joomla 4. You can drag-and-drop images into the Media screen, into articles, and via the &#8220;Image&#8221; button in the text editor.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.joomlashack.com\/images\/blog\/joomla-4-media\/drop-to-upload.png\" alt=\"drop to upload\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Improvement #2: Editing Tools<\/h2>\n<p>Each image in the Media area has a set of editing tools. You&#8217;ll see 4 buttons when you hover over any image:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preview<\/li>\n<li>Rename<\/li>\n<li>Edit<\/li>\n<li>Delete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.joomlashack.com\/images\/blog\/joomla-4-media\/click-to-edit.png\" alt=\"click to edit\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you click the top &#8220;Preview&#8221; button, you&#8217;ll see a large version of the image inside an overlay:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.joomlashack.com\/images\/blog\/joomla-4-media\/click-to-view.png\" alt=\"click to view\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you click the pencil icon, you&#8217;ll be able to rename the image:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.joomlashack.com\/images\/blog\/joomla-4-media\/click-to-rename.png\" alt=\"click to rename\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you click the pencil icon, you can change the image&#8217;s properties.
